Urgency Timer

What it does
Countdown timer on cart and checkout that ACTUALLY empties the cart at zero — not a cosmetic fake. Honest urgency that aligns with what the customer sees.
Why it matters
Most urgency-timer plugins display a countdown and do nothing when it hits zero. Asteris empties the cart, fires an analytics event, and shows a “your reservation expired” message — because that’s what the timer claimed would happen.
Where to find it
In WordPress admin: ★ Asteris Cart → Modules → Urgency Timer. The module is enabled by default on every fresh install of a Pro-or-higher licence — disable from the same page if you don”t want it.
Per-module settings live under that same page once enabled. Global module on/off lives at ★ Asteris Cart → Modules (the master switch grid).
Settings reference
Duration (5-60min), trigger (item-added / first-page-load / cart-total-threshold), zero behaviour (empty cart / clear discounts only / display-only — display-only is OFF by default), copy customisation.
Tips
Honest-urgency converts better than fake-urgency over time. Customers eventually notice when the timer doesn’t do anything and the plugin loses trust.
