Shipping Calculator
Category: Cart · Tier: Starter tier (and Pro, Agency) · Marketing page →
What it does
Inline shipping cost preview on the cart page — customer types a postcode and sees real WC shipping rates before checkout.
Why it matters
Surfaces the total cost early, including shipping. Reduces the “surprise shipping at checkout” abandonment cause.
Where to find it
In WordPress admin: ★ Asteris Cart → Modules → Shipping Calculator. The module is enabled by default on every fresh install of a Starter-or-higher licence — disable from the same page if you don”t want it.
Per-module settings live under that same page once enabled. Global module on/off lives at ★ Asteris Cart → Modules (the master switch grid).
Settings reference
Position (above totals / below totals / sidebar), pre-fill from customer address if logged in, show estimated delivery time (if WC plugin exposes it), required fields (postcode only vs full address).
Tips
Works with real WC shipping zones — no separate config. If your zones are set up correctly in WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping, the calculator just works.
